My husband loves to take photos, action photos, stationary photos, any type of photo he just loves it. We decided to travel to Niagara Falls in September to capture the Fall and the Falls at this time of year. Upon strolling along Clifton Hill on our way down to the Falls we noticed a newer attraction called the Skywheel. It is a giant Ferris wheel overlooking the Falls at a height of 175 feet. The sun was just setting so we jumped on and what a sight to see. The photos that my husband took were amazing. The sun was setting behind the Ferris wheel so the colors were bright but the cabin we were in has non reflective glass which is prefect for picture taking. The Skywheel offered amazing height to get beautiful pictures! |

As an amateur photographer, I wanted a great, high vantage point for some stunning photos of Niagara falls, and also to take my girlfriend out for an afternoon….so I killed two birds with one stone! The Skywheel ( I heard it is a model of the famous London Eye) is on Clifton Hill, and affords amazing views from the top of the round, my girl loved the ride and it was a nice romantic afternoon. Perfectly situated in the thick of the attractions and restaurants, and so on…..this is definitely an attraction worth visiting, and it is docile enough to be enjoyed by young and old alike. Two thumbs waaaaay up for the Skywheel!

My 86 year old mother, who is wheel chair bound was able to ride the Skywheel. Each gondola on the ride is wheel chair accessible. She had never been on a ferris wheel before and just loved it. The view from the top is amazing. It’s a nice ride for the price of admission. We were on the Skywheel for 10 minutes or so and the cost was $10 for adults and $6 for children. |

The Skywheel in Niagara Falls, Ontario is by far one of the most exciting attractions that there is… my husband and I took a ride on by far the largest Ferris wheel that I have ever seen. We started the ride just before 10pm and were able to have a fantastic view of the fireworks over the American Falls. It is a great way to see a lot of the city and we were very lucky to have that view of the Fireworks. |
