I've been to the Butterfly Exhibit at the San Diego Zoo and in Emmen, Netherlands. This one is the best by far! Done very well. We went in Sept., so the crowds were light. Just a warning, it does get very warm inside this attraction, so layer your clothing so you will be comfortable and can stay longer. They have an area where new butterflies are coming out of their cocoons and flying out of among you. When here, also visit the Botanical gardens! These are maintained by students. It is free. We met the grounds cat, "Cinnamon" - a sweetie

Butterflies everywhere!
|

My husband and I went here on our trip to Niagara Falls. The butterfly conservatory was a great experience. There were butterflies everywhere! They were fluttering and floating around in the "natural" indoor environment that was created for them. The plants that were displayed to make the habitat were also nice, and labeled for identification/educational purposes. The conservatory had many stations where they set out plates with special edibles for the butterflies--so to attract them closer & create many photo opportunities. This is definitely an attraction I would recommend.

I didn't think I would enjoy this place so much, but it was part of our tour package. Well it turned out that we loved this place. The minute you walk in lo and behold are 1000's of butterflies flitting about. The colors are amazing, all types of sizes from huge to small. It is just captivating, pure delight. Talk about a photographer's dream, the photo possibilities are endless. The grounds at the Conservatory are beautiful as well, wish we had more time to spend there.

Buy the Winter Magic Pass!

This was an unexpected highlight of our trip. The butterflies were splendid, the conservatory breathtaking. Take your time to go through and just enjoy being in their presence.
Just at tip, we saved on cost by buying the "Winter Magic Pass" and I am sure they have one similar in the summer months too. Great value.

Great experience!

A must see when visiting Niagara Falls. There is a descent size room where you are able to walk through and be among the butterflies. They may even land on you. But, they are very quick so be ready to snap those photos. There is also some history about butterflies, some videos, butterflies on the walls, and a gift shop within the facility. I would suggest buying the adventures pass including the butterfly conservatory and makes use of the train to take you there.

We recently seen the Butterfly Conservatory. We got the Great Gorge Adventure pass and besides the Maid of the Mist, this was our other favorite attraction. There is nothing more amazing then butterflies flying all around you and tons of them! If we ever go back to Niagara Falls, we would definitely come see this again!

I have been back three times to the Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory. My wife really loves it, and we have taken family friends with us each time and they loved it too. If you are looking for a neat way to spend an hour, the Conservatory is a great spot. It is really neat to see all the butterflies landing on people and a great spot to get some really fantastic photography. Go today!

There were beautiful butterflies floating all about the place. Their colors will amaze you. You have a chance to stop, look and appreciate all their brilliant colors. Taking pictures can be tricky but there are many opportunities to capture their grace and beauty. This is a very nice family outing. The eyes appreciate things of color and beauty.
